Fiona's Birthday Interview

These birthday interviews always give me a good chuckle.  Their answers are never very accurate. Being their mom I could record the answers with more accuracy but the charm of the interview would be lost.  I imagine years from now we'll be howling with laughter as we watch Fiona standing on her head saying "Oh that one's easy"  or referring to Curious George as "Curious Jorge"

I am who I am right now because of all the experiences I've had before this moment. Good and bad memories have brought me right here;  exactly where I want to be. That's why I'm so keen on these mosaic photos. At first glance they look like one image, one moment. If you look a little closer they are composites of thousands of memories. I just got this new program and I had to throw together a few pictures to test it out. Pretty cool right? The kids and I had fun today remembering when as we zoomed in on them.

L ast night the kids and I picked Ry up from work and we headed to St. Kilda for a picnic at the beach. The breeze was warm and the mood was light as we watched the sunset behind our playful children. It was an evening of simplicity and confirmation that all is right in our world. My Guys  Me & My Babies May every sunrise hold more   promise , and every sunset hold more peace.

What do I miss about America? The holidays. We take holidays from around the world and celebrate to the max. Nobody parties like American's party! {Okay maybe baby chicks} I hope everyone had a fun St. Paddy's Day!

Introducing 3 new peeps in our family... This is Flower-Jingle. Can you tell Fiona named her?  I call her Sunshine. This little lady was chosen and named by Reed. Her name is Bullseye. She has the sweetest personality.  We named the chicks before we got them.   It just so happens that Reed's has a little bulls-eye on the top of her head. Ryan and I named this chick Tuck, as in Kentucky Fried. I know, we are truly twisted folk. Tuck is the ugly duckling of the group. She's an Australorp, once her feathers come in she'll be absolutely stunning.

Finally Published!

Remember this and  this ? well We have finally been published! You can check it all out on the  Ecology website .  or Here are the highlights... The photograph is of the Becancour River. The backdrop to Woodland antics for the year we lived in Quebec. {I miss our river}  I have to admit there's a bit of a thrill to see my name as the photographer. (if you look at the photo on the website you can see it too) The photograph obviously had to be cropped for the cover.  I'm a little bummed the rainbow from the original didn't survive the cut.         M ore importantly here's Ryan's article.   This is only the text.  If you're interested in seeing the complete article with graphs and all the bells & whistles go HERE . Incorporating temporally dynamic baselines in isotopic mixing models Ryan J. Woodland 1 , Marco A. Great Ocean Road Trip Day 1 morning We wrestled through the city traffic and reached the  Great Ocean Road in under two hours. First stop... a random beach that we had all to ourselves. This is the way to start a holiday. Headed for the beach Reed's new go to pose taken through a fence. sandy, wet and excited for our next stop we head back to the car This next photo reminds me of a print in an old book. It was in the car park.  My family was peeing on the other side. ha! We drove down the road awhile. Stopping at a park for a picnic lunch and play... The kids played on this Bunyip.   I had no idea what one was until we came home and I looked it up Here Very Australian. Bunyip Next Stop The Campground
