Touching Our Fears
T oday we visited the Biodiversite Center in our village. Reed intently sat and watched the entire video that normally I would skip right over assuming there would be little interest. This guy did too. I found one of the benefits of being the minority in speaking English are The Private Tours. (another one is telemarketers here generally don't speak English) This snapping turtle was awesome. He's intrigued by children and likewise the munchkins couldn't take their eyes off of him. O f no surprise Fiona was fearless and wanted to touch everything . Reed stayed one step behind. He'd cautiously stand back and watch his careless sister grope a creature. Once it was put back into it's rightful home he would analyze it in a safe manner. Once again reminding me, we all learn in different ways and at our own speed. The Owl Hunt
T onight we went for a night walk. We were hunting for owls. We brought our flashlights. We dressed in our warm gear. We even brought our expert cat hunter. Yes, Tonight We Went Owl Hunting. Only to find.... there's no hunting allowed.
Morning Song
It's a dark, rainy & chilly morning. I hopped directly from the shower back into bed with Ryan. I suggested we let the day pass by and just stay in bed cuddling. Without hesitation he agreed. I told him he was "easily manipulated" In the softest sweetest voice he said, "When you're doing the asking I am." It's these little conversations that make me so grateful for the love we share and make the rest of the world seem obsolete. We have obviously faced the world this morning but not before singing stumbling through this Jewel song together. Halloween Love
