The third day of our Tasmania trip was a rainy one. It was also a travel day, we packed up camp and headed to Bay of Fires on the east coast of the Island. Along the way we stopped at Marakoopa caves which ended up being on of the highlights of the trip for me. We saw all these beautiful fields of flowers throughout our travels... It didn't take long before we realized they were poppy plants. Tasmania is the world's largest producer of opium for the pharmaceutical market. I've been in caves before but nothing like this. There are rivers and glow worms galore down there- truly an amazing sight. No picture could ever come close to depicting its beauty.
