Kids,
When you're just starting your family and struggling between keeping your budget and making Easter fun & special remember my advice....

1. Don't wait until the last minute to make up the clues...or else they'll end up lame like mine were this year.

2.Spread few gifts out over several baskets.  It will draw out the fun with the same amount of pocket change.

3. Along the same lines...try to use stray ribbon and fabric to make the baskets look fancy and special.

4.Use the grass skirt from Surfer Girl party for the grass in the baskets.

5.Buy fun secondhand toys from a thrift store

6. If you're really lucky your sister will hand down some toys from her daughter and you can hold on to them until the big day.

7. Look for clearance items throughout the month.  Later take the kids to the toy store and convince them they really really want Moon Dough.  "Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring it to you?" (wink)

10. Skip the expensive photographer and take your own family Easter photograph.
(I'll post the results tomorrow)

 11. For the egg hunt stuff some eggs with a couple of jelly beans and others with positive reinforcement comments & jokes right from E. Bunny himself.

Canada recognizes Easter on Monday.
You better believe we celebrated it twice.
Here's our Monday Easter Egg hunt.

The second I saw this picture I had to laugh.  Reed has a little Charlie Brown in him.....don't we all.
