I think this photograph best depicts the season of life we're currently in. We're on the go, a bit of a mess note Nate's shoe but we're together and my goodness do we laugh!

January 2021 began with a family outing to the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
Sadly, we lost our beloved rabbit, Jackie. He was the GOAT. Here's a quick look back at Jackie through the years...

One Night Reed was asking Ryan about who his favorite football player was.
Clay chirped in, "Mine is Reed."
In August Fi had auditioned for the play, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. She made it!
Clayton joined soccer.
Nate will begin extracurriculars in the spring. For now he's wearing lots of hats.

We headed south in October to visit Ry's folks and grandma.
I know she doesn't look much older than Ryan but I swear to you, she is 99.
Reed turned 16!!
Reed's last football game, Fiona's play and clayton's playoff games as well as Nate & my birthdays brought family to town. It was such a special time for all of us.
Nate celebrated his 6th birthday! To watch him blow out the candles there's a video here.
Fiona did an amazing job in her play! She was on stage the majority of the play and broke a leg?
My birthday is the day after Nate's. I was able to go on a girls retreat the weekend prior. I don't even have a picture to show for it but I have some lovely memories.

Our first trip to Thailand
First quarter grades closed in November. I don't want to brag but I'm bursting with pride, so I'll just say all 4 kids take after Ryan. Nate is extremely intelligent but he struggled at the beginning of kindergarten. Thankfully, he pulled it together in time to start the 2nd quarter.
Nora the cat explorer is no longer the scrawny cat that adopted us.
Tilly pup turned 3. She has proven to be the best, most loyal dog and certainly a huge part of our family. Here's a recap of some cute pics of Tilly over the past few years...

Cute story for the next picture. There was a canoe locked up by the creek. Clayton guessed the code and opened it! Oh the joy!
Christmas!!
Every year our local fire department parades through the neighborhoods with all their trucks going full on with sirens and lights. Santa and the Mrs. are always in tow.
Last year we were driving down the highway and a fire truck whizzed by us.
Nate screamed out, "It's Santa!"

Clayton turned 7 at the very end of December. (this means he'll be 8 in a few weeks)
Since he was 3 we've done a treasure hunt for him. He absolutely loves this! Each year it's different but the always encounters a strange cast of characters on his quest to find his birthday treasure chest. I wish I had taken more pictures. I guess I was focused on taking video? You can click here to see a few clips from his 2020 hunt. Here's Ry the Hot Dog drill Sargent. He wouldn't give up his clue until Clay did his training course. HA!

Wow, I’m in awe at how the children have grown and all your great adventures. You are so creative and with Ryan have built an incredible family. So many great memories. I had to chuckle at Twinkle Town and Gap Mtn brought back great memories climbing and picking blueberries with your mom.
