Kinder Concert

She was going for the kiss. He was going for the laugh. Yesterday was the last day of kinder/preschool for the kids.  They put on a great concert for a standing- room only crowd. It was composed of 12 songs.  I threw a few clips together so you could get a taste of how they did. The first song makes me laugh the hardest.  Watch Reed dance! {he's in the middle}  They did a couple of songs in Italian {I only included one} and of course the Australian bush dance at the very end. They both did a great job!  Reed made us extremely proud.  Last year at their Christmas concert in Quebec he cried and didn't want to be in front of everyone.   What a difference a year makes. {pardon the pictures I was only armed with my point & shoot}

S omehow I was able to take a few pictures while the kids and I were on their preschool excursion to the Melbourne Museum today. so excited for her first excursion/field trip hmm... It's a fantastic place.  We're looking forward to returning on our own and lingering longer in some of the exhibits that really tweaked our curiosity.  %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Ry was preoccupied playing a game with Reed. Fiona told him "your bangs need to be trimmed" The result: Apparently she confused his bangs with the back of his head.

First Day

The kids had their first day of kinder today.  I just have to say Aussies abbreviate EVERYTHING, so kinder is short for kindergarten.   Kindergarten = preschool To my relief they both had a fantastic day and are eager to return on Thursday.  I worked through my own anxiety through cleaning. My entire house is spotless and actually stayed that way for a couple of hours. A cute little anecdote :  Fiona was eager to show me something she had in her lunchbox.  When we got home she pulled a half eaten piece of pizza out.  Apparently she scored it off a little boy and brought it home for me because pizza is my favorite. How thoughtful is she?   While at the library last week we found this book.   It perfectly portrays our day.  Be well,           Mrs. Pig
