{Father's Day}

Last Sunday was Father's Day here in OZ. I  did my best to let Ryan sleep in as long as I could  but the kids were so darn excited to give him gifts...  Fiona had a basket of goods waiting for him.  The school had a Father's Day Stall on Friday giving all the kids a chance to buy gifts for the #1 man in their lives. Fiona bought Ryan a sweet tyre clock. She spent a ton of time making the wrapping paper for it. She also bought him a bag with a pen and lollies. The thing about children is they can't just go out and buy gifts due to their lack of funds.  Still they want to give so they give their own stuff away. A perfect example, Fiona gave Ryan her necklace, teddy bear and a my little pony.  Proving, yet again, how much she loves him. Reed scored an awesome Boston Red Sox hat for Ryan at the school stall.   What luck to find one here in Australia! He was so excited, "Our whole family goes for them!" (an Aussie Sox...

Saturday was the last day of winter here in the southern hemisphere.  Let me tell you it was a GORGEOUS day! The weather was perfect for bicycling. Especially for some kids who have learned the skill of two-wheel bike riding... Now on with the onslaught of photographs...  Don't let Reed's jacket fool you. (you know you're good when you get two Father's Day's a year)  What's the saying?  No pain no gain.  Showing off th...

Father's Day

Father's Day in Australia is at the beginning of September. I gave both the kids $5.00 to spend at the school Father's Day stall.  This is what they came up with... Farting bottle opener from Fiona. A FANTASTIC water bottle from the dude. The essentials for car washing  A watering can,soap & hankie Later, we made a trail of yarn throughout the house for Ryan to follow to his very special Father's Day gift. making a "Start here Dad" sign with a heart exclamation point. I think he liked it. Happy Father's Day to the best dad in town.   xoxo
