{Tassie, The Second Day}

We headed to Cradle Mountain. On the drive there we stopped to check out a random waterfall on the side of the road. Miss Fiona was more interested in rock climbing- typical. Then we stopped and had a little picnic lunch. This next picture gives a glimpse into Reed's thoughtful nature. While we were hanging out Reed decided he wanted to pick up the litter in the area, and he did. This boy truly has a heart of gold. We spotted the first of many echindnas when we entered the national park... I'm a bit smitten with them. They look a little intimidating but they are really docile and completely adorable. I find it really interesting that echindnas and platypus are the only two egg laying mammals that still exist. Cradle Mountain ahead... We hiked about, glacial formed, Dove Lake. A family photo wouldn't be a Woodland family photo if everyone was looking... {Snow Gum Tree} ...
