{The Boy Under The Bed}

Image
Last night I walked into this scene... Sure do love my little monsters.

{The Outback Shack}

This year we made my favorite gingerbread house yet... It didn't stand for long.  She was solidly built but the kids dug in the following day and it was delicious!

{This & That}

Image
A few pictures from the week before we left on our holiday- yes  I uploaded these pictures way back in November. There's nothing extremely noteworthy but since they're here I may as well post them. :) Fiona came up with the idea for these leaping pictures.  She just instructed me where to stand and which camera settings she wanted me to use. This bird came to our feeder while we were out there... peach roses in our front garden... This cheeky monkey found some ketchup on an abandoned plate. We can not turn our back on him for a second. One night before bed we each took a turn putting on a sparkler show.,, Reed did a dance with his... Back when he had only 2 teeth.  In one month he's added 4 more to that grin. 3 in Tasmania and 1 on his birthday.

{Signs Of Respect}

Image
Lately I've been digging through the backlog of kids artwork and school papers. I'm taking pictures of my favorites. This one is a favorite because just when I think we're raising pretty sensible kids this is sent home knocking me down a peg or two. Lets skip over the fact that she refers to me as Trudy.  Take a moment to embrace her recognizing how much Ry helps her with rock climbing and how she encourages him.. too sweet.  Now a long pause with how Reed shows her respect.   "He lets me bite him for no reason" - what in the world?   Then she shows him respect by letting him do it back?   I have no words, all I can do is chuckle.   Oh what her teacher must think! Speaking of making me laugh, I had to grab a picture of this from a recent road trip. This is what you'd call bogan (a great aussie slang we've come to embrace) yet extremely creative.  Who would think to use a microwave as a mailbox? I know you all want to pin...

{Natives}

Image
One night over the holidays the kids decided to make a fictional documentary. They dressed the parts of natives and had me video tape them. I'll have to post the video but for now here are a few pictures...  I love their imagination!

{You Should See My Heart}

Image
In this next one I'm not looking at the camera because I had my eye on Reed. That's why I like it, it perfectly depicts life as a mother, always aware of who's doing what.   Reed wasn't feeling it.   There's always one in a clan.  If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart.  This little boy has two mum's ... like it or not!

{My Boys}

After our picnic today I snapped some of my favorite pictures ever... some babies are so cute you just have to take a bite This next one may be on our wall in the near future... Can you feel the love between these three?   It's so pure and natural. {melt} Fiona and I have to be the luckiest ladies in the universe to have them all to ourselves.
