{Sunrise In Sydney}

Image
My favorite time of day is sunrise.  I don't experience it nearly enough. That's one of the reasons I love camping so much.  I'm up early and eager to see what's outside the tent because it's usually something beautiful like this... All of these pictures are from one morning on our Sydney adventure... Reed and his sticks  Best Friends We were on a tight budget for this trip... who am I kidding, we're always on a tight budget but traveling is a priority so we always figure out a way. Anyway, given our especially tight budget during this time we told the kids ahead of time that we were not going to eat out and stuck to it. (although we did treat them to gelato on the last day) Instead we made lunches in the morning while the kids played.  Beyond saving us a lot of money it saved us time trying to find a cafe that would suit all tastes and when they got hungry we could feed them immediately avoiding any grumpiness....

The light shows on the Opera House and buildings was amazing. It certainly made our night ferry ride more exciting. Ry captured some great pictures of the light show with his mobile. We also got a few video clips of the light show and the kids playing at the end of the day. Here they are...

{Sun and Surf}

Just south of Sydney is Coledale Beach, a perfect place to set up camp for a couple nights. The kids played as the sun peeked over the horizon... Reed wanted me to take a picture of Clay with this stick...  Little Clayton was incredibly good the entire trip.   Hes's such an easy baby, I'd love to have a million more like him.  While Ry and I prepared breakfast Reed & Fiona flew a kite.   They played so well together it was difficult to call them over to eat. It pains me to break up moments like this.   Watching surfers may be my new favorite pastime...  This guy wiping out cracked Ry and I up.. Some waves crashed on the rocks like an explosion... My handsome little flute player... (note her newly gapped tooth smile)  How fun it was to watch Fiona get all giddy when she saw a huge set of waves approaching.  "Because there'...
