A Hazy Day

I'm oh so tired today.
I'm cursing myself because I know better than to stay up too late.
Over the past year I've figured out giving up late nights makes me a happier and more productive mom.
Sure it's at the expensive of a little me downtime, but I have to admit this time typically was unproductive anyways.
Now rather than being awoken by the kids and starting my day in a slightly grumpy haze
I lay in bed planning the day in my head as I wait for them to wake up.
I much prefer waking on my own terms.

After the kids went to sleep last night I started a little project.
A little project that was a big reminder that mama needs her sleep.

You want to see it?  I thought you'd never ask.

It's a pencil roll for a pair of young boys. One component of a thank you gift bag for some friends.

The cloudy drizzly weather matches my tired haze.
We're going to plant some more seeds and basil in an attempt to add a little life to the day.
