Quiet Moments

These days Fiona is filling her quiet moments with board & card games.
Reed has been playing with his army guys.

I'm playing with my bokeh technique

Lately my quiet and most favorite moments have been:

Snuggling up with Reed, looking through pictures of superheros as he tells me their names and all about their powers.
{This boy stuff is all so foreign to me.}

Swinging next to Fiona, having in-depth conversations.  Often she talks about going back to America & Canada.  We plan our trip home discussing where we want to go and who we want to see.

Lying in bed at night with Ryan laughing so hard I snort.

I know most of what I record in this space is mundane everyday stuff.
I also know one day I'll pack up Reed's army guys next to the Chutes & Ladders in a box on the curb and wonder where the time has gone.
I want need to record their lives, if for no one else but myself.
It's my way of coping with them growing up.

I imagine a thousand years from now Ry and I sipping tea in our wheelchairs looking through our blog.
  The tune Remember When playing in the background as we laugh through our tears.
I picture him looking at me and whispering, "thank you"
just like he did this New Years day as we browsed through the blog posts from the past year.
