We made the last minute decision this morning to make the 3 hour trek to Wilsons Promontory National Park.
Along the way we got lost .  Hey, it's about the journey right?
So we headed in the general direction of our destination, grateful for the beautiful scenery the back roads offered.
We eventually found ourselves...um... I don't know where.
The kids nicknamed it "Cat Island" and that sounds just fine to me.

Can you see the profile of the cat?

Bathing suits,  water shoes & beach toys were all packed in the car.
Since we didn't know what we were getting into, they all remained there.
Hence Fiona in her underwear.

There is something about the above photo that captivates me.

We found a perfect place to plop down our picnic basket and watch the monkeys run.

The lesson of the day:  Sometimes we all take wrong turns.  No use getting worked up over it.
Wrong turns can lead you to a beautiful place you never knew existed.
In the end it's all about who's in the car with you.
