A Changing Face
This past weekend Fiona finally lost her first tooth!!!
If you can remember {here}she has been extremely anxious to hit this milestone.
Completely off topic------
I was recently forced to buy a dozen eggs.
It was painful but Angelina still hasn't started laying eggs since she's hatched her brood. One Rooster remains and she still pampers him even though he's much bigger than she is. She's a good mama but really needs to step up. :)
Since I had these eggs I was curious.
How would the store bought Free Range Eggs compare to our sweet Bulls-eye's eggs?
We were surprised by the difference.
look at the nice layers in our birds egg. The yolk of the left looked anorexic next to Bulls-eye's.
It could be freshness, quality of food or, most likely, a combination of factors.
Either way I felt guilty using the store bought at all. {But I did}
Another reason why we love our chooks.
I know I probably sound like a crazy chicken lady but I honestly can't think of one bad thing about them as pets. From here on out we will always have some chickens in our backyard.
Out front we'll keep a rabbit....

Before Reed lost his first tooth I didn't really think kids with gaped smiles were very cute.
Since, I can clearly see the unique beauty in this phase of life.
Those jack-o-lantern smiles are adorable!
I sure will miss them in a couple of years.
When she woke up the next morning I asked for a kiss.
She gave me one and asked, "Do you want a big smile too?"
Our little monkey is so proud.
She swallowed it while eating an apple.

The Extra Large store bought egg is on the left. Our egg is on the right.
