Holiday Recap

The big kids went back to school today.
As I drove them we recapped all the things we did over the past two weeks.
Looking back, it was a fun packed holiday.

Before the holiday began we had a family meeting to discuss and chart out our plans...

Here's a quick re-cap...

We went to the Drive-in to see The Lego Movie....

A two night camping trip to the Grampians....

Trout Fishing in the Yarra Ranges...

Waterfalls & Easter Egg hunt in the Dandenogs...

A couple nights of backyard fires complete with toasting marshmallows, games of telephone as well as fantastic story telling...
{That picture above is a little suspect, therefore funny to me.}

Flying Foxes...

We've done this before, for more about that go HERE.

Coloring Easter Eggs...

This year we took a different approach, we actually colored them with crayons.
After boiling the eggs, while still hot, the crayons melted onto them nicely.
Less mess is always a bonus.

Rollerblading and bike riding...

A train trip into the city for some pizza at a rooftop cafe...

The kids love THIS video.
(the tune is super catchy, you've been warned)
So we were all excited about the above mural at Flinders Station.
In case you're wondering Reed got his head chopped off... truly a dumb way to die.

Intensive swim lessons everyday for 5 days...
It's posted that photographs are not allowed at the pool.  Ryan didn't notice and snapped a few.
These were taken the last day when they practiced water safety.
Above is Fiona throwing a rescue line to Reed.
Below a sibling hug that melts my heart.
They're wearing normal clothes so they know how it would feel if by chance they were in water unexpectedly.

Easter...
The kids had a great time following the clues E.B. left around the house.

Lots of snuggling with this little man...

Our little Clay had a lot of firsts over the past two weeks with each he proved he's a trooper.
